Attached are the Sales and Listings Stats updated to January 26th. Units sold will be higher this January compared to January 2013 but will be slightly below sales in December 2013. Active listings continue to be at levels below the last 2 years with slightly less coming onto market. Absorption of new listings is stronger than January of 2012 and 2013. Richmond in particular is showing higher sales levels compared with the last 2 years. Activity should increase as we move into the spring market, with confidence growing in the market and pent up demand continuing to become active.

Summary of January 2014 so far:  

 

Greater Vancouver All Residential: Total Units Sold so far this January is 1,328 compared to 1,057 at this time last year, 4,215 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 4,374 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 32% compared to 26% in January 2013.

 

Vancouver Westside All Residential: Total Units Sold so far in January is 285 compared to 244 at this time last year, 938 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 917 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 30% compared to 28% in January 2013.

 

Vancouver Eastside All Residential: Total Units Sold so far in January is 125 compared to 105 at this time last year, 359 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 364 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 35% compared to 31% in January 2013.

 

North Vancouver All Residential: Total Units Sold so far in January is 93 compared to 76 at this time last year, 310 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 312 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 30% compared to 29% in January 2013.

 

West Vancouver All Residential: Total Units Sold so far in January is 45 compared to 38 at this time last year, 186 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 161 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 24% compared to 23% in January 2013.

 

Richmond All Residential: Total Units Sold so far in January is 192 compared to 134 at this time last year, 604 New Listings in January 2014 thus far compared to 633 at the same date in 2013. Sales to Listings Ratio is at 32% compared to 22% in January 2013.
